Rachel Maddow Meets Joe Miller and Doesn't End Up Handcuffed

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow was in Alaska tonight covering the state's three way US Senate race and unlike his fellow Tea Partier Christine O'Donnell; Joe Miller actually talked to her. Even better for Maddow, Miller's security not only didn't handcuff her, she didn't get arrested. That's probably the best thing that can be said about the strange and uncomfortable interaction between Maddow and Miller.

I doubt it more likely since he just got caught he now has to do things that he normally wouldn't do.

Things like talking to real reporters.

Nasty Liberal

He probably should have run away... not that his exposure as a fraud will hurt him with his core constituency.

not that his exposure as a fraud will hurt him with his core constituency.

That's the benefit of being supported by the tea party you can't be too insane or too stupid to be considered unelectable by them.

Miller looked like a rabbit running in circles trying to get away from the fox.

In the end he jumped into his hole/SUV and got away.

You can't run away in the Congressional jungle.

Roast the Teanut rabbit. Vote this Nov. Paid for by Rodent Rounder Uppers.

the strange and uncomfortable interaction between Maddow and Miller.

Rachel Maddow is the consummate professional, the difference between Maddow and other reporters, is she is always meticulously prepared and actually listens to what the subject says. She will stay on the subject until she gets a response, and not let them play dodge ball with their answers. Maddow in her interview, made Miller drop his pants and exposed him for what he is, a Constitutional Conservative, rather then a Teabagger, which he claims to be.

Yeah, she's pretty sharp.

Educate me here. What do you see as the difference and why is being a Constitutional Conservative worse than being a Teabagger?

A US Constitutional amendment to ban GAY marriage will never pass. His core constituency is anti gay so he used the US Constitution to avoid stating the obvious. He is just like any other politician. Actually I think the Federal government should stay out of it and let the states decide. If one is gay, move to a state that supports one's lifestyle. I have moved to 4 different states in my life time so don't tell me that moving is a hardship.

Being a homosexual is not a "lifestyle" it is who you are, saying people should move to be who they are would be like telling black people to move to another state to be black. Unless you had to move because you were a woman your moving experience does not apply.

As a conservative I have to disagree here as well as with most conservatives on this issue. First of all, moving to another state for most of us is an extreme hardship, especially if at one's own expense not covered by an employer. We have jobs, family, friends and property where we reside and if you're lower income, forget it.

A man and a woman can get married in any state and that marriage is recognised in any other state, any gay marriage should treated the same. I'm a firm believer in states rights but this isn't one of them. The right to travel throughout the contry is constitutionally protected and that means having the same legal status where ever we choose to visit or live. If you're legally married in one state, you should be legally married in all.

Yes; and our constitution requires that, not that any of the anti-gay legislators care:

Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.

I don't think most conservatives actually disagree. I think a minority of loud nutjobs pretending to be a majority disagree.

KUDOS to the Cameraman and the Sound Gal who had to navigate escalators because Mr. Miller is just too darn "busy" to accept an interview.

And yet, in a matter of minutes, Ms. Maddow got answers that no other reporter could.....even though it was obvious that Joe Miller's frenetic walking pace was meant to throw her into a wall.

WHERE was he going that he just needed to get away?

Maddow fell all over herself and drowned in adulation in the "Murkowacszky" interview.

Spelled wrong on purpose, for you Liberals.

Maddow is uncomfortable with anybody she "Hates".

She loves "Murkowacszky" because she's anti-Miller!

A Fox News interview where they can regurgitate their talking points, never have a follow up question asked, and the ability to beg for donations, of and an audience dumb enough to not realize that is all that happens in a Fox News interview.
